I have to admit, I was actually super nervous about going into a church for well-rated coffee. Was it just the parishioners that banded together to rate it? Would I burn? I was so delighted that I stayed the course and gathered the courage to enter. The atmosphere is beautiful, both the indoor cool vibe and the peaceful outdoor seating that is surrounded by incredible gardens. The coffee was also divine! (Pun intended) I had the cappuccino which came with lovely art and a delicious taste. I highly recommend that you stop in if you are anywhere near Santa Cruz. I loved it so much I even bought the beans. (Sanctuary!)
The best coffee place in SC for service, atmosphere and coffee or tea. The only drawback is limited baked goods. Otherwise, my favorite place to go-cannot top the outdoor seating with views of the ocean. The inside is beautiful. They close at 4 but one is welcome to remain outside on the patio area.
Shrine Coffee is the BEST idea a church has had (since salvation)!!! This was my morning home for the week I spent in Sta Cruz, and the only place I truly miss. The place is beautiful, parking is easy, the food and coffee are insanely good (oh my, the honey lavender latte ). And the magic of this spot, as always, is the people working here. Anne Marie welcomes you with a genuine presence, and Hunter makes delicious drinks! Always remember to tip I wish every church had a shrine like this. Do yourself a favor and stop by if you live or visit town!
Soo near our ocean your family will love the vibe of Shrine Coffee. Laid-back atmosphere with real cups and plates! No matter your background &c your welcomed with LOVE & LIGHT! Oh, no matter your denomination &c stop on bye for Sunday services &c "Come As You Are"! Be yourself! You will certainly Depart smiling aswellas energized!
Amazing cafe serving a wide variety of coffees with friendly staff and a really nice ambience. It’s right by the beach with a large parking lot.
I love this place for the consistently tasty lattes! I am a fan of the coffee cake as well, which is big enough to share. It's typically busy when I go, which results in chairs/tables having crumbs sometimes, but overall I love this place. Everyone is super friendly and welcoming.
If you’re near the lighthouse on West Cliff, Shrine Coffee is a lovely place to stop in for a coffee and pastry. I love the flaky crust of the croissants and hot chocolate was warming on a cool day. Staff is friendly and the inside space is cozy and comfortable. You can choose from many seats on the large patio that has a good-sized fountain in the center. The surrounding gardens are beautifully maintained.
Good coffee and delicious pastries like coffee cake & chocolate croissants. I love the patio outside, and the lovely, tranquil walkways outside with stone benches for private time amongst the birds, plants, and statues. Inside also has lots of seating & a cozy fireplace.
